The New Vision Forum was held in Almaty from 27 to 29 June, organized by Nobel Fest, YPO and the Almaty City Administration (Akimat).
At the event, Prime Source partner Salim Ismail, Chairman and co-founder of OpenExO and Genius Group, presented a number of significant initiatives.
Salim — an angel investor, author, speaker and founding executive director of Singularity University — ran a closed workshop for Kazakhstani leaders on “10x Scale: the key steps to success”. In the session he shared striking ideas on how companies can use technology and strategy to grow ten times faster than their peers. Salim turns cutting-edge ideas into thriving startups and applies them to reinvigorate a range of industries.
He also spoke at VISION-Talk on “Entrepreneurship in the technology era: new explosive industries” and ran a series of sessions on business development and company growth. His appearances were a source of inspiration and valuable insight for all participants.
Besides Salim, the forum featured such outstanding speakers as Stuart Lacey; Bobby Sager, billionaire and former chairman of Polaroid; Allan Pease, the world’s number one expert on communication and networking, known globally as Mr Body Language; and Jeff Hoffman, co-founder of Priceline.com/Booking.com and uBid.com.
Salim expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to take part in a large-scale Kazakhstani event through his close cooperation with Prime Source. He stressed that Kazakhstan is a powerful platform for advancing technology in the world of artificial intelligence, and said he was glad to be there and to share his experience with leading entrepreneurs and promising organizations.
